JCSI Young Creatives Award Winners Announced
NEW YORK, Oct. 16, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — JCS International has announced the three winners of the 2019 JCSI Young Creatives Award. The winning short films, selected from 26 finalists responding to this year’s theme “Stand Up for Peace,” are Next To Me (Philippines), It Starts Within (Albania) and P.E.A.C.E. – A Spoken Word (United Kingdom).
The JCS International Young Creatives Award was established to foster young talent across the globe while sparking a conversation around peace. JCS International was founded by the business and philanthropic leader Ronald S. Lauder. The New York City-based organization is engaged in a wide range of activities and services, including advocacy, policy research, strategic communications and content creation.
“We view the JCS International Young Creatives Award as an especially powerful way to promote peace through art,” says Lauder, himself a recipient of the Directorate Award at the 34th International Emmys in 2006. “This year’s winners represent three excellent examples of that vision.”
The 2019 winners were selected by a blue-ribbon panel of international jurors comprised of Michal Grayevsky, chairman of the jury, president of JCS International and founder of Young Creative Awards; Amanda Nguyen, founder and CEO, Rise; Fred Graver, consultant; Anne Bahr Thompson, managing director of philanthropy, Synergos; Lisa Azuelos, film producer and director; Devin Woods, program manager, Big Bad Boo; Alvaro Pereira, television journalist, and Oliver Mahrdt, film and festival producer.
The three winners will be flown to New York to receive their award on Saturday, November 23, at the International Emmy World Television Festival. The International Emmy Awards Gala will follow on Monday, November 25th.

Second Annual JCS International Young Creatives Award Presented At 2018 International Emmy World Television Festival
JCSI President Michal Grayevsky Presented the Awards to Young Filmmakers who Explored the Theme, “Stand Up for Peace”
NEW YORK, Nov. 17, 2018 — JCS International President Michal Grayevsky presented today the second annual JCS International Young Creatives Award at the 2018 International Emmy World Television Festival. The three winners—Raj Dutta of India, Puti Puar of Indonesia and Shubham Upreti of India—each created exceptional 1-minute short videos on the theme, “Stand Up for Peace.”
The awards were presented to Ms. Puar and Mr. Dutta during the Nominee Medal Ceremony at the International Emmy World Television Festival, held at the Sofitel Hotel in midtown New York. Mr. Upreti accepted the award in absentia.
“Today, we celebrate young creatives whose work promotes peace across the globe,” said Michal Grayevsky, President of JCS International, a Board Member of the International Academy, and the Chief Communications Officer of RSL Investments II Corporation. “The challenges facing our world are vast, but this year’s remarkable winners give us a reason to be hopeful.”

The JCS International Young Creatives Award winners are Raj Dutta of India for “Tea Shirt,” which shows how a young boy’s innocence can remind us that we can choose peace; Puti Puar of Indonesia for “Peace is Action,” an animation that shows how we can seek peace through resisting online bullying; and Shubham Upreti of India for “Mr. Peace,” which tells the story of a man who has been left behind by a fast-moving world.
The JCS International Young Creatives Award was open to contestants from around the world between the ages of 18 and 29. Three winners were selected based on the criteria of concept, execution, character development and creativity. New York, October 3, 2018: JCS International today announced the winners of the 2018 JCSI Young Creative Award, now in its second year. The three winners, selected by a prestigious panel of jurors with a depth of experience in film, TV and media, created one-minute shorts on the 2018 theme, “Stand Up for Peace.” The winning films are TeaShirt (India), Peace is Action (Indonesia) and Mr. Peace (India).
The blue-ribbon panel of jurors gathered at the International Academy’s headquarters in New York on September 27 to select the winners from the 24 finalists. Programs entered this year span 39 countries. The jurors were: Michal Grayevsky, President, JCS International; First Lady of Panama Lorena Castillo Garcia De Varela; Patrick Connolly, SVP of Programming for AMC/SundanceTV Global; Amy Hargreaves, Actress & Producer; Mozhan Marnò, Actress & Producer; Ben Pyne, Independent Consultant, Pyne Media; Stephen Segaller, VP Programming, WNET Channel 13 and Daniel Wiedemann, Bureau Chief, Americas Office, TV Globo.
The three winners will be flown to New York and receive their award on Saturday, November 17, at the International Emmy World Television Festival, in front of the 2018 International Emmy Awards Nominees. They will also be invited to attend the International Emmy Awards Gala on Monday, November 19th.

Now is Your Chance to Identify the Next Generation of Filmmaking Talent
New York, New York—The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and JCS International announced today that entries for the 2018 JCS International Young Creatives Award competition are now online for viewing and public voting. The initiative, launched last year, is designed to discover, recognize, and foster young talent from around the world while creating a global conversation around peace.
The competition is open to global entrants between the ages of 18 and 29. Videos entered this year around the theme Stand Up for Peace! span 38 countries. Online voting, available from September 12 to 19 on the International Academy’s website (https://www.iemmys.tv/youngcreatives.aspx) will determine the finalists for the competition.
A blue-ribbon panel of accomplished jurors will determine the three winners at the end of September.
“We are proud to be raising awareness about peace and celebrating the amazing work of young creatives from around the world,” said Michal Grayevsky, President of JCS International. “We encourage everyone to go watch the videos and vote.”
The three winners will be announced on October 3, 2018 and will be flown to New York to receive their award at the International Emmy World Television Festival on November 17, 2018. They will also attend the International Emmy Awards Gala on November 19.
